Find answers to common issues and questions about EarthVasi random video chat.

Camera Issues
  1. Click the camera/lock icon in your browser's address bar and allow camera access.
  2. Make sure no other app (Zoom, Teams, Skype) is using the camera — close them.
  3. Refresh the page and click "Allow" when asked for camera permissions.
  4. Try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox work best).
  5. Restart your browser completely.
Chrome users: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Site Settings → Camera and make sure earthvasi.com is allowed.
  1. Check that your video is not muted — click the video icon in the chat screen.
  2. Make sure you are connected to a partner (status shows "Connected").
  3. Try clicking "Next" to find a new partner and see if the issue persists.
  4. Check your upload internet speed — video requires at least 1 Mbps upload.
  1. Chrome: Click the lock icon (🔒) in the address bar → Site settings → Reset permissions → Reload.
  2. Firefox: Click the camera icon in address bar → Clear permission → Reload.
  3. Safari: Go to Settings → Safari → Camera → Allow for this site.
  4. Mobile: Go to phone Settings → Apps → Browser → Permissions → Camera → Allow.
Connection Problems
  1. Wait a few seconds — the platform may have low traffic at this time.
  2. Refresh the page and try again.
  3. Disable any VPN or proxy you are using.
  4. Try at a different time — peak hours have more users online.
Peak hours are typically 6 PM – 12 AM in your local timezone.
  1. Check your internet connection speed — minimum 2 Mbps required.
  2. Move closer to your WiFi router or use a wired connection.
  3. Close other browser tabs that use bandwidth (YouTube, Netflix).
  4. Disable VPN if enabled.
  5. Clear browser cache: Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac).

Some networks (schools, offices, public WiFi) block WebRTC which EarthVasi uses for video calls. Try:

  1. Use your mobile data instead of WiFi.
  2. Use a VPN to bypass network restrictions.
  3. Try a mobile hotspot.
Microphone Issues
  1. Check you haven't muted yourself — click the microphone icon in the chat screen.
  2. Allow microphone permissions in your browser (same as camera steps above).
  3. Check your system microphone settings — make sure the right input device is selected.
  4. Test your microphone in another app to confirm it works at the system level.
  1. Check your device volume and make sure it's not on silent/mute.
  2. Check the browser isn't muted — right-click the browser tab and check "Unmute".
  3. Try using headphones instead of speakers.
  4. Ask the other person to unmute themselves and check their microphone.
General Questions
Yes! EarthVasi is 100% free. No registration, no subscription, no hidden fees. Just open the site and start chatting.

During any chat, click the flag icon (🚩) on the stranger's video to open the report menu. Select the reason and submit. The user will be reviewed and banned if they violated our rules.

Reports are taken seriously. Repeated violations = permanent ban.
You are matched randomly with other online users. If you add interests (like "music" or "gaming"), the system tries to match you with people who share similar interests. Language preference also helps narrow the match.

EarthVasi works best on:

Yes! An Android APK is available for download. Check the footer on the home page for the download link. EarthVasi also works directly in your mobile browser without any app.

Bans are issued for violating our community guidelines (nudity, harassment, spam, etc.). If you believe you were banned in error, contact us at support@earthvasi.com with details.

Circumventing a ban by using a different device/IP is against our Terms of Service.
